Discovery of potato storage

November 21 in Pokrovsk, Khangalassky district, a new vegetable store with a capacity of up to 500 tons was opened, owned by LLC Nauka. At the solemn event, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Policy of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Afanasy Semenov, Director of the Yakut Research Institute of Agriculture Ayial Stepanov, First Deputy Head of the Khangalassky District Fedor Nogovitsyn, representatives of the contractor LLC Stroykomplekt.

Afanasy Mikhailovich noted that the opening of a modern potato-storage facility is the basis for the development of seed potato farming for the workers of the agro-industrial complex. The new facility was built with the direct support of the Ministry of Agriculture of Yakutia and personally the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Minister of Agriculture, Petro Alekseev. The letters of gratitude were handed to the director of Stroykomplekt, Vladimir Tsypandin, the chief engineer Vasily Rumyantsev, to the foremen Nikolay Tsypandin and Ion Tsypandin.

Director of LLC «Nauka» Polina Okhlopkova, for her part, thanked the employees of the contract organization for the well-done work. The issue of constructing a new storage facility with modern instruments capable of regulating the air temperature inside the building was brewing for a long time: «We grew good harvests, but during the winter storage, we lost up to 50% of the harvested crop. Khangalassi scientists plant 17 hectares of elite potatoes. In 2017 the gross yield was 120 tons. The enterprise provides the basic material of the district with seed material.
